Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Pittsburgh seeks an experienced Commercial Lines professional to manage an assigned book of business and maintain high client retention. You will coordinate service activities, educate clients on policy changes, and negotiate renewals while ensuring timely responses to carrier requests.

The role requires a property & casualty license, a relevant degree, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in a Commercial Property & Casualty insurance agency.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Must hold Property and Casualty insurance license.
  • Hold an industry designation or be willing to further industry knowledge through courses.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the client relationship, account retention, and developing a comprehensive and competitive insurance program.
  • Inform and educate clients on policy changes, exclusions, insurance coverages, and industry trends.
  • Respond to client and carrier requests within agreed timeframes.
  • Manage renewal workflow for the assigned book of business to avoid coverage lapses.
  • Negotiate renewals and/or new lines of coverage with underwriting guidelines in mind.
  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance.
  • Assist clients with claims reporting.
  • Adhere to invoicing and collections policies and pursue prompt payments.
  • Educate and mentor Select Commercial Lines teammates.
  • Keep current on industry information, technology, and trends.
  • Participate in virtual client meetings and occasional in-person client visits.

General Description:

Manage and coordinate all service activities for commercial lines clients $5,000 in revenue and above. Serve as primary contact, responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Understand and execute marketing, analyze options, present recommendations, and implement insurance programs. Maintain 92% or above retention on assigned book of business.

Responsibilities
