Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to handle day-to-day client service for an assigned book of business within a Property & Casualty focus. The role requires coordinating with Producers/Account Executives, vendors, and carriers to ensure service, placement, and client satisfaction.

The successful candidate will manage renewal activities, draft submissions, and maintain data integrity in the system of record, while supporting claims, audits, and contract reviews as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Property & Casualty brokerage environment.
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty business.
  • Ability to follow process and procedures guidance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support renewal strategy and submission process for assigned accounts.
  • Manage renewal book including proposals and binding.
  • Draft exposure gathering information, loss exhibits, submissions and proposals.
  • Obtain loss run or policy documentation from carrier websites as needed.
  • Serve as primary recipient for client questions and changes from Prod/AE.
  • Coordinate certificates, invoices, policy/endorsement/audit documents with vendors.
  • Submit and manage changes to carriers per client requests.
  • Update system of record to reflect conversations and documents.
  • Process monthly/quarterly or annual audits and monthly reports.
  • Assist with non-complex contract reviews.
  • Support claims reporting and ongoing large claims.

Job description

The primary role of the Account Manager is to handle the day-to-day Client Service requirements on an assigned book of business. This book of business could have a Producer or Account Executive who has overall responsibility for Service, Placement and Business Development.

The Account Manager’s focus includes a significant amount of time spent on system activity and communication with the client via email or phone. They have great accountability to adhere to corporate initiatives, process and procedures, including system of record data integrity.

The AM is a key member of the client team and provides direction to any 3rd party vendors who have responsibility for the account.

Your Impact:
  • At the direction of the Producer or Account Executive (Prod/AE), participates in renewal strategy including discussion of the markets to approach, claims reviews and exposure gathering
  • Manages a renewal book of business, including creation of submissions, supporting the placement process, including Proposals and Binding.
  • Provide support in drafting exposure gathering information, loss exhibits, submissions and proposals.
  • Obtain loss run or policy documentation directly from a carrier website as needed.
  • Primary recipient of daily questions or changes from the client or forwarded by the Prod/AE.
  • Work with Associate Account manager or 3rd party vendor to issue Certificates, Invoices, policy/endorsement/audit checking
  • Submitting and managing changes to the carrier per the client’s request
  • Update the system of record to properly reflect conversations, communications and policy documentation
  • Processing of monthly, quarterly or annually audits and monthly reports as received
  • Handling contract reviews that are not complex in nature
  • Claims management; instructing the client to report notice of loss directly to the carrier or provide claims reporting and support for ongoing large claims.
Successful Candidates will have:
  • 2+ Years of experience in a Property & Casualty brokerage environment
  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty business
  • Ability to follow process and procedures guidance
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Hold Insurance licenses as required by the Company
