RockBridge Search & Recruitment seeks a seasoned Commercial Lender in Portland, OR. The role blends relationship building with disciplined credit execution as you originate, structure, and manage a portfolio of commercial loans for business clients.

You will source new opportunities, prepare credit packages for approvals, monitor risk, and collaborate with credit, underwriting, treasury, and operations to deliver a seamless client experience while staying current on market trends and regulatory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience.
• Proven track record of business development and portfolio growth.
• Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and manage a portfolio of commercial relationships (C&I, owner-occupied/investor real estate, specialty lending).
• Source new business via calling, networking, and community engagement.
• Structure credit facilities balancing client needs with risk and profitability.
• Prepare and present clear credit packages for approval.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks.
• Collaborate with credit, underwriting, treasury, and operations for a seamless client experience.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends and regulatory expectations.
• Represent the institution professionally in the Portland business community.

Compensation: $120,000–$180,000 base salary plus incentive compensation

Position Overview

You will originate, structure, and manage commercial loans while serving as a trusted financial advisor to a diverse portfolio of business clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and manage a portfolio of commercial relationships, including C&I, owner-occupied and investor real estate, and specialty lending as appropriate
• Source new business through proactive calling, networking, and community engagement
• Structure credit facilities that balance client needs with sound risk management and profitability
• Prepare and present clear, well-supported credit packages for approval
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and take timely action
• Partner closely with credit, underwriting, treasury, and operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience
• Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, competitive products, and regulatory expectations
• Represent the institution professionally within the Portland business community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience
• Proven track record of business development and portfolio growth
• Strong credit analysis and loan structuring skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
• Deep familiarity with the Portland and greater Pacific Northwest market preferred
