Responsibilities

  • Analyze loan applications and determine terms within lending authority.
  • Originate and service commercial and consumer loans, secured and unsecured.
  • Ensure loan documentation complies with policy and is accurate.
  • Prepare credit memoranda detailing borrower strength and loan details.
  • Present loans to executives/board for approval as needed.
  • Coordinate with loan assistants to complete documents timely and accurately.
  • Monitor past-due reports and contact customers to resolve delinquencies.
  • Maintain accurate loan pipeline and renew matured loans timely.
  • Represent United Bank at events and promote bank products and services.

Summary

Support the companys mission statement, values, and sales goals by establishing new customer relationships and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Analyze loan applications, decision loans within the lenders individual lending authority, generate interest income, monitor and service existing loan customers, make credit decisions, collect on loans and market the banks services and products.

Duties
  • Compile and analyze data for commercial loan requests; outline loan terms and conditions and inform borrowers of loan commitments; assist borrowers by making appropriate recommendations concerning financing options and financial decisions.
  • Originate and service business and individual loans both secured and unsecured.
  • Maintain compliance with loan policy, procedures and documentation, including loan package preparation, while properly structuring, underwriting, and pricing.
  • Write Credit Memorandum detailing borrower(s) credit strength, details of loan and other necessary information needed for a clear representation of credit package and recommendation for approval.
  • Present loans (outside individual lending authority) to President/CEO, CLO, OLC and/or the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Work with loan assistant assuring loan documents are completed in a timely manner and accurately; solves problems prior to closing, and attends closing as necessary.
  • Monitor past due reports and contact customers to determine solution.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline report.
  • Renew matured loans in a timely manner.
  • Inspect property under construction for draws on construction loans when required.
  • Produce quality referrals through regular calls on existing and prospective customers as well as referral sources.
  • Attend and participate in community events, volunteer events, and local organizations to represent United Bank and make business contacts.
  • Promote and refer United Bank products and services and further establish business relationships when possible.
  • Represent United Bank in a positive and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
  • Three years commercial lending experience is required
  • Lending experience in banking and in northwest Arkansas preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must be abide by all SAFE Act requirements, including registration
