You will manage the full life cycle of leases, draft and negotiate documents, and advise on existing leases while maintaining a practical billable target. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience and a strong CRE background.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial lease transactions from term sheet through signing and related amendments
• Draft and negotiate leases and ancillary documents (subleases, assignments, guaranties, estoppels, SNDA, amendments)
• Counsel clients on existing leases as needs change
• Manage a busy book of deals independently and efficiently
• Support landlords, tenants, and developers on retail leasing matters

Commercial Leasing Attorney (Direct Hire / Hybrid or Remote)

Latitude is partnering with a well-regarded boutique law firm with a sophisticated commercial real estate practice that is looking to add an experienced leasing attorney to its team. The firm was built for lawyers who want large-firm-caliber work without large-firm hours, and its annual billable expectation sits well below Big Law norms. This role is centered on retail leasing. You will handle deals on both sides of the table for owners, developers, landlords, and tenants, and will be responsible for the full life of a lease, from the term sheet stage through signing, along with the ancillary agreements that come with it, such as subleases and assignments, guaranties, estoppels, SNDAs, and later amendments. You will also counsel clients on their existing leases as their needs change. The ideal candidate has substantial retail leasing experience, preferably developed at a large law firm, and is comfortable running a busy book of deals independently.

The firm is open to a remote or hybrid (Nashville, TN) arrangement.

Basic Requirements For The Commercial Leasing Attorney

• 4+ years of experience handling commercial lease transactions, primarily in retail
• Large law firm background highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate leases and related documents with minimal oversight
• Landlord-side and tenant-side shopping center, mixed-use, or multi-location retail clients preferred
• Exposure to other areas of commercial real estate, such as purchase and sale, development, or real estate finance, is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• J.D. and excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar admission in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction
• Outstanding professional references

Compensation

Pay: The salary range for this role is $180,000 and up. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials.
