Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader to guide a crew in outdoor landscape projects. You will oversee daily tasks, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain safety during operations on-site in Columbus, OH.

Ideal candidates bring an outdoors orientation, a horticulture or landscaping background, and the willingness to complete Davey development programs. This permanent Full Time role offers company benefits and professional growth within a nationwide

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors and lead crews.
• Background in horticulture or landscaping preferred.
• Knowledge of turf, weed, trees and shrubs preferred.
• Completion of Davey career development books upon hire.
• Completion of Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily grounds/turf maintenance with crew leadership.
• Plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize as required.
• Diagnose turf/shrub conditions and communicate needs to management.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment responsibly.
• Maintain communication with clients about landscape needs.

• Properly plant, trim, mow, weed, mulch, fertilize and so much more.
• Learn to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural/environmental turf and shrub conditions.
• Maintain open communication with management and clients to provide feedback on landscape needs.
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment.

What We’re Seeking

• Love of the outdoors
• Preferred: background in Horticulture or Landscaping
• Preferred: Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID knowledge
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
