Snelling Staffing Greenville is seeking a full-time Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician to join a local Asheville area team. You will travel to restaurants and schools to degrease and pressure wash interior exhaust systems including hoods, fans, and ducts.

This role demands a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs. Typical schedule covers 2nd/3rd shift with Sundays to Thursdays and occasional Fridays.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Able to work Sundays to Thursdays with occasional Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down equipment, including plastic sheeting and high-pressure hoses.
• Pre-scrape buildup from kitchen exhaust systems.
• Use pressure washers to degrease exhaust systems.
• Final cleanup of hoods and floors after service.
• Document work with photos via the service app.
• Record mechanical deficiencies for management.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Complete work independently with limited supervision.
• Shift type is a combination of 2nd/3rd shift.

Job description

Position Overview

Do you have a passion for cleanliness and attention to detail? Would you like a job where your work makes a real, impactful difference? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a full-time Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician.

You will be part of a team that travels to the scheduled location/restaurants/schools in and around the Asheville, NC area. The team is responsible for degreasing and pressure washing the interior of commercial kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, and hoods).

Key Responsibilities

• The set-up and take-down of equipment including hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, setting up ladders, wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses
• Pre-scraping buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems
• Use of Pressure washers to degrease kitchen exhaust system
• Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.
• Fill out Jobsite paperwork and use the mobile service app to take digital photographs of all work performed.
• Documenting mechanical deficiencies of the customer and/or company equipment to management
• Maintaining the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night
• Independent completion of work projects with limited supervision
• This position is a combination of 2nd/3rd shift
• A typical work week is Sunday to Thursday and an occasional Friday.

Technician Qualifications

• Have a valid Driver's License
• Have personal transportation to and from our office
• Have a driving record that passes our insurance company’s requirements
• Be willing to drive a company truck to job sites. Most jobs are local, but our service area is in NC and potentially SC.
• Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to all calls from management
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and follow instructions
• Be physically fit; able to climb ladders, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at times
• Have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Be able to work flexible hours
• Be able to complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision
• Be able to communicate well with customers and other team members
• Be able to learn new procedures quickly to assist with the cleaning process
