Job summary

Yellowstone Landscape is seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to oversee irrigation and landscaping maintenance contracts on high-profile commercial properties. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, while documenting findings and coordinating with the team.

Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, generating reports, and maintaining safety standards through weekly trainings.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of basic pump operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of irrigation clocks, adjusting/repairing irrigation heads, sensors, valve repair, and lateral & mainline repairs.
• Basic knowledge of irrigation system installation, setup, and maintenance.
• Reliable transportation to the Branch or first job site.
• Safe driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience performing thorough irrigation system inspections.
• Ability to properly program irrigation controllers.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation system issues.
• Knowledge of valves, wiring, controllers, sprinkler heads, rotors, drip systems, lateral lines, and mainlines.
• Ability to clearly document inspection findings and recommended repairs.
• Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for daily work orders, photographs, notes, timekeeping, and other documentation.
• Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
• Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including lifting, digging, bending, and working in wet or muddy areas.
• Must maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in a clean and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine irrigation inspections and generate reports for assigned high-profile properties.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs.
• Scout properties beyond assigned needs for any issues.
• Complete a pre-trip inspection report on vehicle, trailers, and equipment daily.
• Contribute to our safety culture by attending and actively participating in weekly safety trainings; follow company safety protocols and communicate issues to the team.
