Job summary

Mill Brothers Landscape Group – Northern Colorado is seeking a Commercial Irrigation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems on commercial properties year-round. The role includes controller programming, monthly audits, and accurate service documentation, with on-site fieldwork and occasional snow removal.

The position requires 3+ years of irrigation experience, the ability to work independently, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of irrigation service, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience reading and interpreting irrigation and landscape plans.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Familiarity with advanced irrigation control systems (Hunter, Rain Bird, Baseline).
• Valid Colorado driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal irrigation system activations, inspections, repairs, and winterizations.
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components, including valves, heads, mainlines, wiring, and controllers.
• Program, adjust, and document all types of irrigation controllers to ensure proper system operation and efficiency.
• Conduct monthly irrigation audits to identify leaks, coverage issues, and areas for improvement.
• Accurately complete daily electronic paperwork, including timesheets, service notes, and billing information.
• Assist in training and supporting less experienced technicians in the field.
• Maintain clear communication with Account Managers and Division Manager regarding job progress and customer needs.
• Professionally represent Mill Brothers Landscape Group on all client properties.
• Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season.
• Rotate in as the on-call technician for week-long service shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals.

As our team continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Irrigation Technician to join our maintenance division. This full-time, year-round position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems across a variety of commercial properties while upholding Mill Brothers’ standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay:
  $25.00 – $33.00 per hour DOE
• Paid Vacation:
  10 days (prorated) per calendar year with annual accrual
• Paid Sick Time:
  48 hours annually
• Benefits:
