Job summary

USI Insurance Services is seeking a Renewal Marketing Specialist to drive end-to-end marketing for small commercial renewals (Select). You will examine coverage needs, negotiate carrier terms, prepare proposals, bind coverage, and transition accounts to the local client service team.

The role is remote within the West Region, located near USI offices in CA or AZ. Requires 3-5 years of Commercial P&C experience, a P&C license, and a degree preference.

Description and Requirements

As a Renewal Marketing Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end marketing process for small commercial lines (Select) renewals. Your responsibilities will include examining coverage needs, negotiating carrier terms, preparing proposals, binding coverage, and ensuring a smooth transition of accounts to the local client service team.

• This is a Remote role but must sit within our West Region near a USI in CA or AZ **

What You'll Do

• Use carrier rating tools to secure competitive quotes for accounts up to $10K in revenue.
• Review and validate submissions for completeness and adherence to best practices.
• Respond to underwriters’ inquiries and negotiate coverage terms with carriers on behalf of clients.
• Review carrier quotations and prepare detailed comparison summaries.
• Finalize marketing efforts and create client-ready proposal presentations.
• Bind coverage and execute a seamless hand-off to the appropriate client service team.
• Build and maintain relationships with carrier underwriters and representatives.
• Serve as a technical resource on market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies.
• Participate in carrier meetings and share updates with Select operations and sales teams.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems and technology platforms.
• Stay current on industry developments, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• Comprehensive understanding of property & casualty coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• Industry designations such as CIC, ARM, AAI, CPCU preferred.
• Exceptional critical, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to manage complex tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
• Comfortable navigating carrier marketing platforms and internet-based tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong relationship management abilities.
