Job summary

Installed Building Products is seeking a skilled Commercial Insulation Installer to join the PRO-Foamers team in Wisconsin. This role offers on-the-job training, opportunities for advancement, overtime opportunities, and year-round work.

Pay ranges from $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience. You will prep installations, read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and work with the crew to complete projects safely, with occasional overnight travel across Wisconsin.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Construction site experience, preferably insulation or related trades
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Willing to travel throughout Wisconsin
• Read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus
• Previous insulation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete prep work for installation, including caulking and taping
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine insulation placement and specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently during installation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols
• Assist in the fabrication of custom insulation components or modifications as required for specific projects
• Ability to stay overnight when we have to work long distances

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete prep work for installation, including caulking and taping
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently during installation
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine insulation placement and specifications
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols
• Assist in the fabrication of custom insulation components or modifications as required for specific projects
• Ability to stay overnight when we have to work long distances

Requirements:

• Proficiency with hand tools (knives, tape measures) and power tools (saws, drills)
• Willing and able to work in indoor and outdoor environments
• Willing to travel throughout Wisconsin
• Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required by the project
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus
• Previous insulation experience is a plus

Physical Demands:

This role involves regular physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving around active construction sites. Installers must be able to lift and carry insulation materials and equipment (typically up to 25-30 pounds), work at heights or in confined spaces, climb ladders, use hand and power tools, and work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions. The job also requires enough vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to safely operate tools, read measurements, and communicate with the crew.
