Tri City Glass & Door is seeking installers to join our team. You will assist the Lead Installer in fabricating and installing storefronts, curtain walls, and other window and door systems. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 lbs, read shop drawings, and travel to sites as needed within the state. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining a neat work area.

The Installer assists the Lead Installer and serve our customers through installation of storefront, curtain wall and other window and door systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Wear and use personal protective equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies
• Fabricate and install storefront, curtain wall, commercial windows and doors, heavy glass, break metal and ACM paneling.
• Read and understand work orders, shop drawings, and architectural plans.
• Complete and submit daily paperwork.
• Measure field openings and brake metal needs.
• Assemble materials with mechanical fasteners, rivets, and/or sealants.
• Handle raw glass and aluminum on a regular basis.
• Load and unload glass, aluminum frames, and other products in a safe manner to prevent injury or waste.
• Fabricate and alter aluminum materials and hardware as needed using hand tools and power tools on job site.
• Maintain knowledge of existing and new products with commercial applications.
• Perform under direction of lead.
• Maintain a neat and clean truck and working area and job site area.
• Practice safe work methods at all times, report, and respond to hazardous situations.
• Travel safely to work sites accordingly to the job order in the company's vehicle within assigned territories in the state.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• Understand basic construction concepts. Previous construction/residential experience, plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and power tools
• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and do shop math.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve.
• Ability to work out of town overnight.

Work Environment

• The work environment will be outdoors year-round. Work from aerial lifts, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Work on your feet for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.
