Job summary

Smart Care Equipment Solutions is seeking a Commercial Installation Technician to install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and related systems. This role requires reading blueprints, working with mechanical and electrical components, and collaborating with a team to uphold safety and quality on every site.

You will travel as needed, perform installations to supplier specifications, and advance your career within Smart Care by enhancing brazing techniques and customer relations

Qualifications

• General building and tool experience required.
• Willingness to travel out of town and work nights when needed.
• Commercial refrigeration experience preferred.
• Brazing experience preferred.
• Must be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s license if not already held.

Scope of Responsibility

The Commercial Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining commercial systems, including working with mechanical and electrical components. This role demands a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to advance their career within the company.

Specific Duties/Accountabilities

1. Install commercial systems and related equipment to manufacturer specifications.
2. Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and other documents related to installations.
3. Perform regular service and maintenance of commercial units, ensuring optimal performance.
4. Be safety-conscious by adhering to OSHA guidelines and practicing proper safety protocols on all job sites.
5. Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
6. Improve installation and brazing techniques continually to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
7. Maintain strong customer relationships by providing clear, friendly, and professional communication.

Basic Qualifications

• General building and tool experience is required.
• Ability to travel out of town and work nights when needed.
• Commercial and/or supermarket refrigeration experience is preferred.
• Brazing experience is preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities.
• Willingness to perform all aspects of supermarket installation.
• A certificate from a technical or trade school is a plus.
• Must be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s license if not already held.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at high elevations and climb ladders safely.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
