Job summary

Summit Service Solutions in Lock Haven, PA, is hiring experienced commercial electricians to join our team on industrial projects. You will read drawings, install and troubleshoot electrical systems, and contribute immediately on site.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of electrical experience and/or completion of a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Commercial or Industrial electrical experience with the ability to perform work at or above the Journeyperson level.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial/industrial electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and construction plans.
  • Install branch circuits, distribution panels and related equipment.
  • Install lighting systems and controls for commercial spaces.
  • Lead smaller electrical projects or crews when needed.

Summit Service Solutions is looking for experienced Commercial Electricians to join our team.


If you’re an electrician who takes pride in your work, knows how to read a set of prints, troubleshoot problems, and get the job done right, we want to talk to you.


We work with established contractors on commercial and industrial projects and are looking for electricians who can step onto a job site and contribute immediately. Experienced Journeymen and strong electricians with the right field experience are encouraged to apply.


What You'll Do


  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.

  • Install branch circuits, distribution systems, panels, and related electrical equipment.

  • Install commercial lighting systems and controls.

  • Install motor, power, and control systems.

  • Install underground electrical systems.

  • Install specialty electrical systems such as fire alarm, nurse call, and other low-voltage systems as required.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate test equipment and determine the best solution.

  • Perform electrical work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Work independently while also contributing to a strong job-site team.

  • Help train and guide apprentices and less‑experienced electricians.

  • Maintain and properly use company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials.

  • Communicate material needs and job-site requirements to help keep projects moving.

  • Take the lead on smaller projects and assist with larger projects as needed.

  • Make sound decisions in the field when job conditions or the scope of work changes.

  • Work overtime when necessary to help meet project deadlines.


What We're Looking For


  • 6+ years of electrical experience and/or completion of a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program.

  • Commercial or Industrial electrical experience with the ability to perform work at or above the Journeyperson level.

  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and schematics.

  • Ability to lay out and lead smaller electrical projects and crews.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.

  • Professional attitude and strong communication skills.

  • Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Basic computer skills, including email and spreadsheets.

  • Willingness to operate company vehicles when needed.

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when required.
