Job summary

R. Brooks Mechanical is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair complex heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems for clients across Maryland. You will handle a range of commercial systems and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of HVAC service experience, solid knowledge of HVAC/R components, and a valid driver’s license. The role offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2 years of HVAC service experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues on commercial systems including RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, air handlers, and exhaust systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including filter changes, coil cleaning, lubrication, belt replacement, and refrigerant checks.
• Work with DDC and BAS systems (e.g., Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell) to adjust setpoints, troubleshoot alarms, and verify control sequences.
