Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to develop HVAC system modification plans.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, building materials, and emergency maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems incorporating digital control systems and multi-building EMCS.
• Mechanical and electrical inspection and maintenance skills.
• Preventive maintenance skills, including oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning, and greasing.
• Ability to diagnose equipment and determine repair or maintenance needs.
• Ability to maintain work records and submit paperwork timely.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial HVAC and multi-zone systems.
• Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair, installation, alteration, and preventive maintenance of HVAC/refrigeration.
• Develop HVAC system modification plans and help plan modification jobs.
• Create preventive maintenance checklists for new equipment.
• Interpret as-built blueprints and recommend remodel-project system modifications.
• Research and select materials for HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Maintain equipment and promote safety and environmental improvements.
• Document and track preventive maintenance activities.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to optimize performance.
• Represent the company to contractors, owners, and trades.
• Report preventive maintenance inspections to supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete and submit maintenance paperwork.
• Perform other maintenance duties assigned by the Maintenance Lead or manager.
