Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial systems across the southeastern United States. You will work with rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls, ensuring safety and code compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires 3+ years of experience, EPA 608, and the ability to read blueprints and diagnose issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration, and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes. The technician works independently or as part of a service team to provide timely solutions for commercial clients, while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and controls

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment to optimize efficiency and longevity
