Job summary

Mechanical Products Nevada is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician for Data Centers around Reno. You will perform startup, maintenance, and field service on the equipment we sell.

The ideal candidate has HVAC certification, OSHA 10, and 1–5 years of experience in a residential or commercial environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and handheld devices. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Must have current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training plus 1-5 years' experience working as a Service Helper or Service Technician in a residential or commercial environment.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad)
• Electrical knowledge required and EPA Certification Preferred (i.e., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.)
• Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment and extreme weather, risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
• Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and regularly lift/move up to 50-75 pounds.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete Startup and proper documentation of new units.
• Perform preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s).
• Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners.
• Advise owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
• Submit required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician for Data Centers in/around Reno. This position will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical inspection, start-up maintenance on the equipment we sell. This is a full-time opportunity for an energetic go-getter. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. The position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
• Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s)
• Represents the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners.
• Advises owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
• Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customers.
• Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Submits required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Must work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required

The Required Profile
