Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain and install a range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial properties. You will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with commercial HVAC equipment, 2+ years with building/energy management, and knowledge of boilers and chillers.

Qualifications

• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required.
• 2+ years experience with building or energy management systems.
• 5+ years experience with commercial HVAC equipment.
• Working knowledge of boilers and chillers.
• Experience with electrical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems including boilers and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools and interpret schematics.
• Install new HVAC systems according to design specs and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and implement solutions promptly.
• Conduct refrigerant recovery, recharging, and ammonia handling per EPA regulations.
• Use hand tools and equipment to repair or replace faulty components.
• Collaborate with clients to assess needs and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain detailed service reports and update system documentation.
• Assist in training junior technicians and contribute to process improvements.
• Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
