RSC Mechanical is seeking experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians to join our growing team. We service commercial refrigeration and HVAC across the United States, delivering dependable maintenance and customer-focused support.

Qualifications

  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving is a core part of the role.
  • Experience with HVAC and commercial refrigeration preferred.
  • Technicians must supply their own standard hand tools.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, team, and management.
  • Able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment (walk‑ins, reach‑ins, rack systems, ice machines).
  • Prefer hands-on CO₂ refrigeration rack systems experience (transcritical/subcritical).
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems with precision.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Prioritize safety, secure work areas, and identify root causes of failures.
  • Handle and manage refrigerants per EPA regulations.
  • Read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
  • Repair/replace compressors, motors, fans, and other components.
  • Provide professional service during emergencies.
  • Work with EMS systems (CPC, Tracer, HMI).
  • Collaborate with customers, dispatch, and technicians for seamless service.
  • Accurately log service reports on mobile/digital platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with store managers and team.
  • Complete all tickets/timesheets accurately and on time.
  • Deliver high-level customer service to retail/commercial clients (restaurants, grocery, schools, hotels, hospitals, military).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and reliable service during emergency service calls.
  • Work with EMS systems, including CPC, Tracer, and HMI.
  • Collaborate with customers, dispatch, and fellow technicians to ensure a seamless service experience.
  • Accurately log service reports using mobile and digital platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with store managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including work tickets and timesheets, accurately and on time.
  • Deliver high‑level customer service to retail and commercial clients, including restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, schools, hotels, hospitals, and military bases.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • EPA Universal Certification (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role
  • Experience and working knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management.
  • Able to work under pressure in fast‑paced or high‑stress environments.
  • Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, mechanical/electrical hazards, and weather.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent driving of motor vehicles.
Schedule
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Overtime may be required based on workload
  • Participation in an on‑call rotation following the training period. Must be available and responsive during assigned on‑call shifts.
