Job summary

American Residential Services (ARS) in Omaha is seeking an HVAC Helper – New Construction Install. You will learn and assist journeyman technicians in installing all aspects of commercial HVAC equipment and controls, assemble materials, transport tools, and maintain safe, organized work areas.

We look for candidates 18+, with a HS diploma or GED, willing to work long hours including weekends, and who can pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to put in long, sporadic hours and/or weekends when necessary.
• All candidates undergo pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Learn, train and work with Journeyman technicians installing commercial HVAC equipment and controls.
• Assemble materials and equipment needed for job completion.
• Transport tools and supplies to job sites and keep proper tool inventory.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Safely handle and lift materials (over 75 lbs).
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Gather and return salvageable materials to the warehouse.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Learn, train and work along side our knowledgeable Journeyman technicians installing all aspects associated with commercial HVAC equipment and controls.

• Assemble materials and equipment needed for job completion

• Transport tools and supplies to job sites and keep proper tool inventory

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

• Safely handle and lift materials (must be able to lift over 75 lbs)

• Follow all company safety policies and wear required protective equipment

• Gather and return salvageable materials to the warehouse

• Mechanical or related skilled trades background/experience preferred. High School diploma, or GED equivalent.
