Job summary
Construction Job Force is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to install HVAC ductwork on commercial construction projects in the Columbus, OH area. The role involves on-site fabrication, assembly, and installation, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring duct systems meet specifications across warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities.
The candidate should have 3+ years of sheet metal installation experience, be comfortable working on active job sites, and adhere to safety
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sheet metal installation experience on HVAC duct systems.
- Hands-on experience on commercial construction sites (warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings for duct installation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices related to HVAC and sheet metal installation.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC sheet metal ductwork on commercial construction projects (warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities).
- Perform on-site fabrication and assembly of sheet metal components to meet project specs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan and execute duct installation.
- Measure, cut, and fit sheet metal materials for proper alignment and airflow.
- Use hand tools and equipment to complete duct installation safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with other trades to maintain project timelines.
- Follow OSHA and site safety guidelines and use PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle tools responsibly.
- Inspect installations for quality and compliance with standards.
