Job summary
CSG Talent is assisting a well-established commercial glazing and architectural glass contractor in Phoenix to hire an experienced Glazing Drafter. You will produce shop drawings for curtain walls, storefronts, entrances, and architectural glass systems per project specs.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and field teams to ensure drawings are accurate, fabrication-ready, and install-ready, while identifying issues early.
Qualifications
- Experience producing shop drawings for glazing systems.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Familiarity with fabrication and installation drawings.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed shop drawings for commercial glazing projects.
- Prepare fabrication and installation drawings for storefront, curtain wall, entrances, and architectural glass systems.
- Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Interpret dimensions, elevations, sections, details, and architectural plans.
- Coordinate drawings with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and installation teams.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and manufacturer requirements.
- Make revisions based on project changes, RFIs, and engineering feedback.
- Assist with material takeoffs and bill of materials where required.
- Identify potential design, fabrication, or installation issues before production.
