Job summary

Guild Garage Group LLC is seeking a positive, personable garage door technician based out of Buford, GA. You will install, repair and maintain commercial and residential garage doors while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring safety and quality standards.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with training and growth opportunities, including potential advancement into senior roles within a family of residential services brands.

Qualifications

• Valid license and clean MVR.
• Aerial Lift certification required.
• Experience with welding, acetylene torch and plasma cutter.
• Experience in garage door installation, repair and maintenance of commercial door systems (sectional, rolling steel, fire doors, high speed doors, dock equipment).
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb a ladder and use basic hand tools.
• Familiar with OSHA safety rules and best practices.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to diagnose root causes of technical situations.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening.
• Experience with Service Titan is a plus.
• Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
• High school degree

Responsibilities

• Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines; foster a secure environment for team, clients, and community.
• Uphold accurate records of work; document notes, diagrams, and photos; streamline maintenance and repairs.
• Thorough inspections of installations and repairs per industry benchmarks and company standards.
• Ensure workmanship meets safety standards and exceeds client expectations.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers and employees.
• Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues and provide solutions/alternatives.
• Maintain records of customer interaction, transactions, comments, complaints.
• Upsell products when opportunities arise.
• Understand products/services inside and out.
• Coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
