Job summary

gpac is seeking a seasoned Commercial Flooring Estimator in New York to prepare accurate estimates for complex flooring projects. You will review architectural drawings, finish schedules, bid documents, and perform detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, and installation requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of estimating experience, strong knowledge of flooring products, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in commercial flooring estimating.
• Strong knowledge of flooring products (carpet tile, LVT, VCT, etc.).
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial flooring projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, finish schedules, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, and installation.
• Develop competitive pricing while maintaining gross margins.
• Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with GCs, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Track bid deadlines and manage multiple estimates.
