Job summary

I.C.E. Contractors, Inc. seeks a Commercial Fire/Intrusion Alarm Service Technician to join our National Accounts team. You will install, upgrade, service and maintain CCTV and fire/burglar alarm systems at regional commercial sites across the Southeast.

Requirements include at least 3 years of intrusion and fire alarm experience, Texas licenses, and willingness to travel; NICET Level 2 or ESA CAFT 2 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of intrusion and fire alarm experience in a large commercial/retail setting.
• License requirements: Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm licenses for Texas; willing to obtain if not licensed.
• NICET Level 2 or ESA CAFT 2 or greater preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CCTV and Fire/Burg Alarm Systems.
• Pulling, identifying and terminating cables (coaxial, Cat5, Cat6).
• Work independently and communicate progress on tickets to management.
• Operate aerial man lifts and hand/power tools; work from ladders/scaffolds up to 25 feet.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct while representing I.C.E. Contractors.
• Travel within specified region; some longer travel as needed.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Commercial Fire/Intrusion Alarm Service Technician to join our National Accounts team. The Commercial Alarm Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, upgrading, service and maintenance of CCTV and fire and burglar alarm systems at various regional commercial retail locations across the Southern United States with several other regional locations likely. We seek self-motivated, and reliable technicians who are willing to travel and who are eager and willing to learn and grow.

The Responsibilities

• Upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various CCTV and Fire/Burg Alarm Systems.
• Pulling, identifying and terminating various cables including, but not limited to, coaxial, cat5 and cat 6 cable.
• Be able to work independently without direct supervision and be able to effectively communicate to management regarding the progress of service tickets.
• Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above 25 feet.
• Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as being attentive to detail.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors.
• Will be responsible for service within a specified area or region based on location. Some travel over longer distances will be required as work warrants.

The Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Intrusion and Fire Alarm experience in a large commercial/retail setting. Service experience in a large commercial/retail setting is preferred.
• Previous troubleshooting experience with Bosch Fire/Burg Panels and Fire lite FACP is preferred. Previous experience with systems used by large box retailers is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Able to operate different types of aerial man lifts is required.
• A Fire Alarm License and Burglar Alarm license is required for the state of Texas. Must be able to obtain necessary licenses within 30 days of employment if you are not already licensed.
• NICET Level 2 or ESA CAFT 2 or greater is preferred as a nationally recognized certification.

• Salary/wages are based on experience. Salary Range: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
