Jobot is seeking an attorney in Michigan to manage a diverse commercial and financial services litigation caseload. You will draft pleadings, take depositions, and represent clients in court, working closely with partners to shape strategy and deliver practical business-focused advice.

The role offers a clear partnership track, mentorship, and exposure to complex litigation within a collaborative team. Requires a J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school and active state license.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable state.
• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, no-fault, personal injury defense, or civil litigation.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
• Interest in transitioning into commercial and financial services litigation.

Responsabilités

• Manage a diverse caseload involving financial services, commercial litigation, creditor rights, and related business disputes.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and appellate briefs as needed.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations, and represent clients in court.
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused advice to clients.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution while maintaining strong client communication.
• Collaborate with a highly experienced litigation team on complex legal matters.
