Job summary

Colt Facility Maintence LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Commercial Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards while working with power distribution, lighting control, and backup generators.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of commercial electrical experience, can operate multimeters and oscilloscopes, and is willing to travel between job sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
• Experience in commercial buildings such as offices, retail centers, hospitals, or schools.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes; OSHA compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Install and maintain power distribution units, lighting control, and backup power systems.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, local, and national electrical codes.
• Inspect electrical systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with construction teams on new builds or renovations.
• Respond to on-call emergencies and power outages.
• Submit detailed work orders and reports with time estimates and materials used.
• Install energy-efficient systems such as LED lighting and sensors.
