Job summary

G1 Facility Services in Newark, NJ is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial facilities. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, and ensure NEC safety standards are met.

Shift options are 6:00am–2:30pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm; compensation ranges from $32.00 to $37.00 per hour, with medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and 401k benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in commercial/industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically capable of working in various environments and at different heights.
• Valid US driver's license with at least 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install AC and DC circuits of varying voltages, including power distribution, fire detection and HVAC systems.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage work orders using the CMMS system.
• Inspect and test electrical components, including transformers, breakers, and panels.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic tools.
• Follow all safety standards and electrical codes (NEC).
