Job summary

The Shockey Companies is hiring a Commercial Electrician for our Winchester, VA projects. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial sites, reading drawings and specs to ensure safety and quality workmanship.

You should have a Journeyman license or equivalent, a strong grounding in electrical theory, and the ability to work independently or with a team on complex installations. This role requires adherence to NEC, OSHA, and site safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician with commercial experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and safety.
• Experience with electrical tools, test equipment, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace electrical components on commercial projects.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
• Install conduit and pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot wiring.
• Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance.
• Log hours and coordinate with foremen and other trades.
