Job summary

Coastal Electric of Florida is seeking a Commercial Electrical Project Manager to lead high-impact electrical construction projects in the Jacksonville market. You will drive projects from turnover through closeout, controlling profitability, schedules, and field performance while developing key industry relationships.

You will manage budgets, cost codes, forecasts, and change orders, with oversight of subcontracts, RFIs, and documentation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of commercial electrical project management or field leadership experience in Jacksonville Market.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit jobsites throughout greater Jacksonville.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, construction methods, and the NEC.
• Core proficiency reading electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and one-line diagrams.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, labor forecasts, procurement, and billing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial electrical projects from contract award through closeout and warranty phases.
• Establish project budgets, cost codes, labor forecasts, and cost-to-complete projections.
• Negotiate change orders, process submittals, and oversee subcontracts to maximize profitability.
• Conduct jobsite visits to inspect progress, verify safety compliance, and direct field teams.
• Lead project kickoff and turnover meetings with estimating, accounting, and purchasing units.
• Maintain complete documentation including RFIs, billings, cash-flow reports, and schedules.

• Completed Trade Program or Technical Certification.
