Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Delivery Driver to support our store operations and customer service goals. You will use company-provided vehicles to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers and DIY shoppers while maintaining safety, accuracy, and timely service.

You will engage with customers, provide product knowledge, and assist with returns and pickups as required. The role requires a valid driver's license, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to lift and load merchandise.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver WOW! customer service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear automotive advice and installation services.
• Load and unload parts per route schedules.
• Drive company-provided vehicles and ensure safe, timely deliveries to commercial customers.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and handle returns and pickups as needed.
• Follow PPE and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Process customer payments securely per company policies.

• Customer Service Excellence & Communication – Deliver WOW! Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
• Leadership & Teamwork – Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts, ensuring smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
• Metrics Mindedness & Process Orientation – Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
• Delivery Operations – Drive company-provided vehicles, ensuring safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers. Load and unload parts accurately per route schedules.
• Returns & Pickups – Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
• Safety Compliance – Adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
• Cash & Charge Transactions – Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
• Product Knowledge & Fleet Maintenance – Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems. Maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Valid Driver’s License & Safety Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements to ensure responsible and secure vehicle operation.
• Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load and deliver merchandise.

You’ll Go The Extra Mile If You Have

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Exceptional Communication: Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Automotive Retail: Previous experience in automotive retail
• Hazmat Endorsement Preferred: A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement is a plus, helping ensure proper handling and transportation of regulated materials in compliance with safety standards.
