Job summary

Silver Meteor Installations LLC, a division of Mills & Nebraska, seeks an Installer/Technician to service and install hollow metal, wood doors, and hardware for a Central Florida family-based company with 85+ years of experience.

The role requires 2 years of carpentry or related construction experience, ability to lift 120 pounds, read blueprints, and pass a drug/background check. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in carpentry or related construction field.
• At least a high school diploma.
• Prefer applicant with experience installing commercial doors, frames and hardware.
• This position requires medium to heavy lifting of materials.
• Ability to lift 120 pounds.
• Must be able to read and understand work orders and blue prints.
• Strong basic math and measuring skills.
• Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Must have basic hand & power tools.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Some travel and overnight stay will be required.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and security background check.
• Passion for providing excellent service and quality.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Professionally install and service doors. This includes, but is not limited to, installing hollow metal frames, hollow metal doors, wood doors, and hardware as per signed contract with customer.
• Drive to the job site and complete installation of materials assuring that the daily schedule is complete and all installations are finished to the customers’ satisfaction.
• Continue to develop mechanical skills, learn new techniques, and remain current with the product requirements for installing doors.
• Typical schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm. Hours WILL VARY depending on workload.
• Work with other team members and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Clean, organize and maintain work area on site.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Ensure projects are performed in a timely manner and on budget.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Field Measure as required.
