Job summary

Jobtailor in Maryland seeks a hands-on diver to set up a dive station, verify equipment, and lead daily safety sheets and meetings. You will follow health and safety procedures, apply basic construction skills, and understand project scope, including rigging and crane signals.

Required: commercial dive school or ADCI certification, 0+ years experience, current safety certs, valid driver’s license, and fit-to-dive. Welding or mechanics skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must have commercial dive training/certification (e.g., ADCI or Navy).
  • 0+ years of diving/field experience required.
  • Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, DAN O2 Administration certifications.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Fit-to-Dive physical.
  • OSHA 10 General Construction preferred.
  • Welder certification and mechanic background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up a dive station and ensure all equipment is functioning as designed.
  • Complete daily safety sheets and hold daily safety meetings.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and follow health and safety procedures.
  • Understand and follow health and safety procedures related to the work.
  • Apply basic construction skills (concrete, steel, carpentry, welding, fabricating).
  • Understand project scope and tasks.
  • Understand line pull, rigging, and crane signals.
  • Demonstrate proper rigging techniques.
  • Complete assigned tasks and meet expectations.
