Google is seeking an Associate Commercial Counsel in New York, NY (or Mountain View, CA) within the Research and Labs arena to partner with frontier research teams on complex commercial partnerships, data sharing, and collaborative frameworks that push technology and society forward. You will navigate global product risk and evolving regulations while guiding technical teams through legal challenges.

Formación

• JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree.
• Admitted to the bar or authorized to practice law in the relevant state.
• 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or a law firm.
• Experience in Contract Law or Technology Licensing.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex, high-stakes strategic partnerships, academic collaborations, and data-sharing agreements for the Research, Labs and Tech and Society ecosystem.
• Provide actionable, cross-functional legal counsel on emerging tech and health regulations across the globe, including GDPR compliance, health data governance, and the EU AI Act.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Bioethics, and Trust & Safety teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks in frontier AI and health-tech development while enabling responsible innovation.
• Maintain and refine scalable legal templates, playbooks, and intake protocols to streamline the legal workflow.
