Job summary

Larson Maddox is seeking a qualified attorney to serve as the lead legal advisor for commercial and operational matters across the U.S. and Canada.

You will draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of agreements while partnering with business leaders to support growth and manage risk. The ideal candidate has a J.D., active bar membership (Colorado preferred), and 2–5 years of experience in-house or at a law firm.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership; Colorado admission preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• 2–5 years of legal experience, in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, negotiations, transactional work, and business counseling.
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.

• Enhance contracting processes, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.
• Assist with corporate governance, subsidiary management, and broader compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead legal advisor for commercial and operational matters across U.S. and Canadian business operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including supply, purchase and sale, service, consulting, confidentiality, and joint venture agreements.
• Partner closely with business leaders and operational teams to provide practical legal guidance while balancing commercial objectives and risk management.
• Support strategic transactions, business development initiatives, and complex operational projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Advise on legal and regulatory matters impacting day-to-day operations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
• Conduct legal research and provide business-focused recommendations on contracting, regulatory, and operational issues.
• Enhance contracting processes, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.
