Position Overview

The Healthcare Superintendent will oversee all field operations on healthcare construction projects, including subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, and schedule management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with owners, healthcare staff, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on healthcare construction projects
• Manage project schedules, site logistics, and construction sequencing
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Conduct subcontractor coordination and planning meetings
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Enforce and manage site safety programs and requirements
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and work within occupied healthcare environments
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and field records
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Facility Representatives
• Identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and productivity
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Proven experience on large healthcare construction projects
• Experience with hospital renovations, additions, or ground-up healthcare facilities
• Experience on projects valued at $15M+
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, infection control, and occupied facility operations
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain detailed project schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, document management, and construction software platforms
