Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc is seeking a Site Operations Assistant in the Washington, DC area to support daily site activities and logistics under the direction of project Superintendents.

You will help on setup, site signage, deliveries, and reporting while gaining exposure to trade sequencing and field measurements. A safety-first mindset and willingness to commute within 30–40 miles are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Optional enrollment in an associate degree program in Construction Management or related field.
• Must be willing to commute to a jobsite within a 30–40 mile radius of the assigned office.

• Interface and coordinate with building trades as directed by project Superintendent.
• Develop basic understanding of building trades and sequencing.
• Assist in supervised layout and field measuring.
• Attend foremen meetings and preparatory meetings with subcontractors when directed.
• Observe and enforce safety requirements and HITT’s Corporate Safety Program.

• Observe and enforce safety requirements, site security, and HITT’s Corporate Safety Program

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Optional enrollment in an associate degree program with a focus in Construction Management or related field
• Passion for Site Operations management Required to commute to a jobsite within a 30–40-mile radius of their assigned office location

Requirements for promotion to Assistant Superintendent:

• Passion for Site Operations and field management
• All candidates, whether they are pursuing a degree or not, must complete a minimum of three years on-site as a Site Engineer (SE) before becoming eligible for promotion

In accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is: $22.00 - $25.00 Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
