Job summary

Comfort Technologies is seeking an experienced Construction Ductwork Foreman to lead ductwork installation crews throughout the DFW Metroplex. You will be responsible for supervising crews, planning daily assignments, and ensuring quality and safe work.

We offer competitive pay from $35 to $50 per hour based on experience, as well as benefits including a take-home company vehicle, health insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial ductwork or sheet metal installation experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial ductwork layout and installation practices.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Comfort Technologies is seeking an experienced Construction Ductwork Foreman to lead commercial ductwork installation crews throughout the DFW Metroplex. We are looking for a hands‑on leader with strong sheet metal installation experience who can read blueprints, coordinate field activities and deliver quality work safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise crews installing commercial ductwork and sheet metal systems.
  • Plan daily work assignments, coordinate manpower and monitor installation progress.
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, specifications and approved drawings.
  • Lay out and install rectangular, round and spiral ductwork, fittings and transitions.
  • Oversee installation of hangers, supports, dampers, grilles, registers and diffusers.
  • Verify measurements, elevations, routing and clearances before installation.
  • Coordinate field measurements, material orders and fabrication requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers, general contractors and other trades to resolve installation conflicts.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet project specifications.
  • Identify scope changes, material shortages and scheduling concerns promptly.
  • Train and mentor installers, helpers and apprentices.
  • Complete daily reports, time records and project progress documentation.
  • Support inspections, punch‑list completion and project closeout.
  • Enforce company safety procedures and maintain clean, organized jobsites.
Systems and Materials You’ll Work With
  • Commercial rectangular, round and spiral ductwork
  • Galvanized sheet metal and insulated duct systems
  • Supply, return, exhaust and outside‑air duct systems
  • VAV and fan‑powered box duct connections
  • Rooftop unit and air‑handling unit duct connections
  • Dampers, access doors, grilles, registers and diffusers
  • Duct hangers, supports and related installation components
Project Area

Crews work on commercial projects throughout the DFW Metroplex, including:

  • Weatherford
  • Fort Worth
  • Dallas
  • Frisco / McKinney
  • Waxahachie / Cleburne
  • Rockwall
Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years of commercial ductwork or sheet metal installation experience
  • Previous experience as a foreman, lead installer or crew leader
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of commercial ductwork layout and installation practices
  • Ability to organize manpower, materials and daily jobsite activities
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience safely using installation tools, ladders and aerial lifts
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred
  • Experience leading crews on commercial new construction and renovation projects
  • Familiarity with SMACNA standards and applicable mechanical codes
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Sheet metal apprenticeship or journey‑level credentials
  • Experience coordinating fabrication, material takeoffs and field measurements
  • Experience training apprentices and developing installation crews
Schedule
  • Full‑time, field‑based position
  • Start times based on project requirements
  • 40+ hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities available
