Woodforest National Bank seeks a Commercial Client Specialist to partner with the Relationship Team and KYC/AML Operations, ensuring regulatory-compliant client due diligence at inception and renewal of client relationships.

The role focuses on managing client expectations, owning KYC/AML processes, and coordinating with internal partners to deliver timely, high-quality records while mitigating risk in a community-focused, ESOP-driven environment.

Competenze

• 3 years of Commercial Banking experience with exposure to KYC and AML.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services.
• CAMS certification preferred, and/or willingness to undertake relevant external training.

The Commercial Client Specialist will partner with the Relationship Team and KYC/AML (‘know your client/anti-money laundering’) Operations to ensure all client KYC records are compliant with regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at inception and renewal of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client and partner expectations and understanding in a consultative way.
• Exhibit ownership of KYC/AML experience and client experience.
• Ensure KYC/AML deliverables are met and hold internal partners accountable.
• Demonstrate ongoing understanding of KYC/AML processes and work through delays and/or inefficiencies.
• Manage operational risk effectively through diligent awareness of risks in our processes.

Competencies Required

• Ability to represent the bank on joint calls with the client or independently in order to explain KYC/AML and other due diligence and information needs.
• Ability to properly identify AML risks and apply the KYC/AML policy concepts.
• Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and leverage internal resources.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups.
• Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment.
• Ability to navigate client relationships and product usage.

Qualifications

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• 3 years of Commercial Banking experience or other related experience with exposure to KYC and AML required.
• Experience of undertaking background client due diligence also preferred.

Formal Education & Certification:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in financial services required.
• CAMS Certification preferred, and/or a willingness to undertake relevant external training.

Work Status

• Full-time.

Supervisory Responsibility

• None.

Travel

• Up to 10% travel expected.

Working Conditions

• Conditions involve lifting no more than ten pounds, sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, moving, or standing for brief periods, and occasionally lifting and carrying articles like files, folders, etc.
