Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a supervisor to oversee janitorial/housekeeping teams across designated sites. You will train associates, ensure tasks are completed on time and to standard, and manage paperwork for the shift. The role includes inventory control and maintaining safety and privacy policies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 1–3 years of related experience preferred. Basic computer skills are required, and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 Years' experience in a related field preferred.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• Associates will be required to pass criminal and sex offender background checks; state background check may be required based on location.
• Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office and basic typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train associates in janitorial/housekeeping duties at designated sites.
• Ensure daily/ periodic tasks are completed on schedule to quality standards.
• Complete shift paperwork, service tickets, and customer service issues accurately and promptly.
• Monitor supplies and equipment usage; request additional supplies as needed using a just-in-time system.
