Job summary

Summit Building Services is seeking a part-time janitorial worker for an office building in Ravenna, Ohio. The role covers cleaning offices, conference rooms, and common areas during the 1st shift (weekdays). A clean, safe, well-kept environment is the goal, with boots required for site access and transportation to the location.

Responsibilities

• Complete job specifications for assigned buildings
• Clean offices and common areas including desks, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
• Clean floors and restrooms, restock dispensers, sanitize fixtures, toilets, urinals
• Remove trash, spot clean glass and windows, and dust vents
• Maintain equipment and restock supplies; organize janitor’s closet
• Communicate issues to Area Manager and follow safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Skills / Requirements

We currently have an open commercial cleaning position in Ravenna. Our goal is to keep the building in a clean and well-kept condition. This is a traditional office building, including private offices, conference rooms, and kitchen/lunchroom space.

10 hours weekly: Monday - Friday, 6-8am

Pay: $ 15.00 hourly

Steel toed boots are required. A reimbursement for their purchase will be issued with presentation of a valid receipt.

You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work and be able to a pass drug test and background check.

Job Duties Include

• Complete job specifications for assigned buildings
• Clean offices and common areas: Disinfect desks and tabletops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc
• Clean floors: Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and pick up larger objects off the floor
• Clean restrooms: Restock dispensers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals.
• Others: Empty trash cans and replace liners, spot clean glass and windows, dust vents and other hard to reach places as needed
• Maintain equipment and order supplies
• Maintain organization of assigned areas: Includes keeping clean and dirty laundry separate and keeping the janitor’s closet clean
• Use the communication book to request consumables and share relevant facility information
• Communicates with Area Manager: Regarding timekeeping, supplies, client requests, and other relevant issues or concerns
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned
