Job summary

Summit Building Services in Elyria, OH is hiring a part-time janitorial worker for the 2nd shift. The role involves cleaning shop areas, locker rooms, break rooms, and dining areas. The position offers 15 hours weekly, with three 3-hour shifts after 5pm, and pays $15.00 per hour.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a drug test and background check. Responsibilities include cleaning offices, restrooms, floors, and general areas; maintaining equipment and supplies; and

Responsibilities

• Complete job specifications for assigned buildings.
• Clean offices and common areas ( desks, tabletops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop).
• Clean floors (dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum).
• Clean restrooms (restock, sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, toilets, urinals).
• Spot clean glass and windows, dust vents and hard-to-reach places.
• Maintain equipment and order supplies.
• Keep janitor’s closet organized and supplies stocked.
• Use the communication book to request consumables and share facility information.
• Communicate with Area Manager on timekeeping, supplies, and client requests.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

We currently have an open commercial cleaning position in Elyria. This is an industrial building and would include cleaning shop areas like locker rooms as well as break rooms and dining areas.

15 hours weekly: Monday - Friday, 3 hour shifts after 5pm

Pay: $ 15.00 hourly

You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work and be able to a pass drug test and background check.

Job Duties Include

• Complete job specifications for assigned buildings
• Clean offices and common areas: Disinfect desks and tabletops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc
• Clean floors: Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and pick up larger objects off the floor
• Clean restrooms: Restock dispensers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals.
• Others: Empty trash cans and replace liners, spot clean glass and windows, dust vents and other hard to reach places as needed
• Maintain equipment and order supplies
• Maintain organization of assigned areas: Includes keeping clean and dirty laundry separate and keeping the janitor’s closet clean
• Use the communication book to request consumables and share relevant facility information
• Communicates with Area Manager: Regarding timekeeping, supplies, client requests, and other relevant issues or concerns
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned
