Job summary

Summit Building Services is seeking a part-time night/janitorial team member to clean two buildings in Aurora, OH. You will wipe down and disinfect areas, clean floors and restrooms, restock supplies, and keep the janitor’s closet organized. Steel-toed shoes required with reimbursement provided.

Position is 7 hours weekly (Saturday and Sunday, 3.5 hour shifts after 5pm) with pay of $16.00 per hour. Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check/drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Must wear steel-toed shoes; reimbursement provided.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Able to pass drug test and background check.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial services encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices and common areas: disinfect, dust, vacuum, mop.
• Clean floors and restrooms; restock supplies and sanitize fixtures.
• Maintain equipment and order supplies.
• Keep areas organized; separate clean/dirty laundry.
• Use communication book for consumables and facility updates.
• Coordinate with Area Manager on timekeeping and client requests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

We currently have an open commercial cleaning position in Aurora. This is a traditional office building, including private offices, conference rooms, and kitchen/lunchroom space.This position requires steel toed shoes to work inside of the building. You will be reimbursed for purchasing steel toed shoes.

The cleaner will need to clean two buildings across the street from each other.

7 hours weekly : Saturday and Sunday, 3.5 hour shifts after 5pm

Pay: $ 16.00

You must have reliable transportation to get to and from work and be able to a pass drug test and background check. If you have experience in housekeeping, environmental services, commercial cleaning, or janitorial services we encourage you to apply! Job duties include:

1. Complete job specifications for assigned buildings

• Clean offices and common areas: Disinfect desks and tabletops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc
• Clean floors: Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and pick up larger objects off the floor
• Clean restrooms: Restock dispensers, empty trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinals.
• Others: Empty trash cans and replace liners, spot clean glass and windows, dust vents and other hard to reach places as needed

2. Maintain equipment and order supplies

3. Maintain organization of assigned areas: Includes keeping clean and dirty laundry separate and keeping the janitor’s closet clean

4. Use the communication book to request consumables and share relevant facility information

5. Communicates with Area Manager: Regarding timekeeping, supplies, client requests, and other relevant issues or concerns

6. Perform additional duties as assigned
