Job summary

Dsd Trucking in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Full Time Class A CDL driver to safely transport containerized freight between ports, our warehouse, and local customer sites.

You will inspect vehicles, maintain trip logs, and coordinate with dispatch while ensuring compliance with DOT rules and port procedures. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of Class A driving and a TWIC card.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with a clean driving record is required.
• TWIC card is required for port access.
• Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience, preferably in a CFS or intermodal environment.
• Knowledge of port terminal procedures (PierPass, chassis swaps, container pickups/returns).
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and ELD systems.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailer vehicles to transport cargo containers to and from ports, warehouses, rail yards, and customer sites.

• Ensure all loads are secured properly and comply with DOT and company safety standards.

• Assist with occasional loading/unloading at warehouse or delivery points if needed.
• Adhere to schedules while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Responsible for the safe and timely transport of containerized freight between the port, our warehouse, and local customer locations. This role requires a strong understanding of port procedures, container yard operations, and safe driving practices.
