Job summary

Carrier is seeking an HVAC Chiller Technician to support startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work on complex chiller systems for large commercial facilities.

The role emphasizes field installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance with emphasis on safety and customer relationships. Requires experience with chillers and EPA refrigerant certification, with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification.
• 5+ years Commercial HVAC industry experience.
• 3+ years' experience with Chillers (air cooled/centrifugal).
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder and work on rooftops.
• Ability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods.
• Possess and maintain valid and current Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, warranty, and service work on chillers.
• Perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and execute regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units.
• Review and interpret regulatory requirements and technical documents, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure timely escalation of issues for resolution when necessary.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to licensing requirements, operating equipment safely, recognizing HVAC-related hazards, completing safety training, and implementing effective safety measures.
