Turning Steel Structures into Game-Changing Spaces

You're the person who does whatever it takes to get the job finished and out the door.

You like working with your hands, moving quickly, and seeing the finished product at the end of the day. You aren't looking to do just one trade—you are willing to paint, caulk, install flooring, work on carpentry, hang or finish drywall, wrap containers, clean the shop, or jump in wherever the team needs you.

ROXBOX is seeking a Commercial Carpenter to help complete our custom modular construction projects after the primary steel work is finished. You'll work alongside our Production team in our Houston facility to complete the final construction, finishing, and cleanup work necessary to get each project ready for delivery to the client.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete finish work on custom modular buildings and shipping containers.
• Perform carpentry and general construction work as needed.
• Install flooring, trim, fixtures, and other finish materials.
• Complete drywall installation, patching, and finishing.
• Paint, caulk, seal, and complete final touch-ups.
• Assist with final detailing and quality corrections before projects leave the shop.
• Clean and prepare completed containers for client delivery.
• Wrap and protect finished containers for transportation.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and work area.
• Operate a forklift when qualified and needed.
• Jump between different tasks and trades depending on project needs.
• Work with the Production team to meet deadlines and get projects completed and out the door.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• Willing to do whatever work is needed to finish the project and get it out the door.
• Comfortable working across multiple trades rather than focusing on one specific type of work.
• Works quickly and diligently without sacrificing quality.
• Dependable and consistently shows up ready to work.
• Strong team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed.
• Pays attention to the small finishing details that clients will see.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Able to take direction and shift between tasks as priorities change.
• Comfortable working in Houston heat and cold in a warehouse/production environment.

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, carpentry, finishing, remodeling, manufacturing, or a related hands-on trade preferred.
• Experience with painting, caulking, flooring, drywall, carpentry, or general finish work is a plus.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• $20 - $25, based on experience, scope, and performance
• Full-time, W-2 position with benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life, etc.)
• Location: On-site in Houston, TX (77041)
• Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Some Fridays and weekends may be required depending on workload and project deadlines.
• Eligible to participate in ROXBOX's bonus plan based on applicable plan requirements and company guidelines.

Why ROXBOX

• Work on unique modular construction projects instead of doing the same thing every day.
• Build projects you can physically see come together and leave the shop.
• Learn and work across multiple construction and finishing trades.
• Be part of a team where everyone is expected to jump in and help get the job done.
• Opportunity to grow your skills and responsibilities as the company grows.
