Avison Young is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to handle minor building repairs and overall cleanliness of the premises. The base hourly rate is aligned with market data at $22.00–$25.00 per hour, with potential bonuses based on performance and location.

The role requires 5+ years of related commercial property experience and a professional appearance. Responsibilities include routine walkthroughs, maintenance, and collaboration with Building Management on projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; some college a plus.
• 5+ years of related experience in a commercial property.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Walk-throughs of tenant and common areas; report maintenance issues.
• General maintenance; ensure properties and equipment are in good working order.
• Assist Building Management with special projects.
• Perform minor plastering and painting as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing: leaks, washers, pipes.
