Job summary

Core Executive Recruiting LLC is seeking a Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer to support daily operations of Class A office buildings. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety systems to ensure tenant comfort and safety.

You will work with property management and senior engineers to uphold building performance standards and deliver reliable service, including preventative maintenance and rapid response to service requests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in commercial office buildings with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications (EPA Universal, HVAC, electrical) strongly preferred.
• Ability to perform repairs such as replacing motors, bearings, valves and electrical components safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with tenants and property management teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, and pumps to ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and adjust building automation systems (DDC/pneumatic controls) for optimal performance and tenant comfort.
• Support daily operations by responding promptly to service requests and maintaining accurate logs of inspections and repairs.

Job description

The Commercial Building Maintenance Engineer supports the daily operations of Class A commercial office buildings.
