Bevara Building Services in the Greater Phoenix area seeks a proactive Building Engineer to maintain commercial medical office buildings and safeguard them against damage. The ideal candidate is a versatile, self-motivated jack of all trades who can manage multiple systems and respond to service requests.

Responsibilities include regular assessments, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety standards per OSHA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial building operations and engineering.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency.

• Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for interior and exterior building equipment.
• Manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, overseeing check-in/out and documenting work completed.
• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
• Ensure a safe job site and adhere to safety standards (OSHA).
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with our values.

About the Position

We are looking for a dedicated individual to provide world-class service at our commercial medical office buildings in the Greater Phoenix area.

As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the property’s physical condition and safeguarding it against damage, loss, and deterioration.

The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and versatile—a true jack of all trades.

Typical Hours

1st shift

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct regular assessments of building systems.


• Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for both interior and exterior building equipment.


• Manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.


• Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.


• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, overseeing their check-in/out process and escorting them to their work areas while documenting the work completed.


• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.


• Ensure a safe job site and adhere to company, OSHA, and client-specific safety standards.


• Conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with our values.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Current and valid driver’s license.


• Lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and work within tight spaces
